Fo Guang University is an university imbued with humanistic spirit, founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in the spirit of ancient educators like Wu Xun and the generous donations of millions of devotees. To help the general public and our students understand Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s spirit of spreading the Dharma and his educational philosophy, the “Kaisan Hall” exhibition space has been specially designed. Centered on the four guiding principles of Fo Guang Shan —“Promoting Buddhism through culture, cultivating talent through education, benefiting society through charity, and purifying the human heart through collective practice”—as its central themes. The exhibition integrates Master Hsing Yun’s over 60-year journey of spreading the Dharma in Taiwan with modern interactive and touchscreen technology, audiovisual and lighting effects, and displays of related artifacts. Combined with recreated historical scenes, it vividly presents Fo Guang Shan’s achievements in the fields of culture, education, charity, and collective practice.
