Material: Rayon filaments
Size: 400x185cm
The sight of rain of tung oil flowers seems snowflakes drifting in the summer, creating a unique atmosphere. To express such theme requires emphasizing special color effects that present the momentary shifts in the air and of light and shadow, and using visual effects of gradients, transitions, and blending to convey that rich artistic conception. Rayon filaments were used in this work as weaving material and were hand-woven on a loom into a double-layered structure, with warp and weft yarns of different colors forming a three-dimensional and irised gradient effect. By blending weaving craftsmanship, design, natural landscapes, and cultural seasonal rhythms, the work renders greater depth and interest.
