The elder’s silent posture and distant gaze seem to express the implicit concern over traditional cultures, ritual songs and artisanal wisdom being facing interrupted heritage. The artist arranges and stacks natural grain seeds to form a picture, vividly capturing the figures of elders from the Amis indigenous tribe. This is an outstanding work that combines the aesthetics of craftsmanship with a powerful social narrative.
