Material: pulp fibre, copper wire, silk yarn, glass beads
Size: 120x200cm
The work attempts to picture the earliest vaguely referring oracle bone script, representing the fusion and emergence of form and concept, as the most ancient, primitive, chaotic, yet most intense symbolic language.
The alternating gold and rust-colored copper wires symbolize the primal heat of the forge; the white pulp fibers of three levels represent innocent, pure gloss; the double-weave technique transmits both transparency and thickness, making the pattern clear and distinct; and the glass beads add weight and luster, allowing the work to radiate rich texture and variation from within its pure colors. Viewable from both sides and giving a bright, transparent effect, it is ideal for use as a room divider in spaces such as living rooms or studies,.
