In pursuit of the visual beauty that light and shadow remain in the artwork, the bold and free lines and colors complement one another, resulting in a more modern form. Seven diagonal lines on each side of the work converge at the center in order to achieve visual balance. Drawing on the Arabic “glitter glaze” technique, the shape of a utensil renders a blend of strength and softness, as well as stillness and movement. The use of a contemporary blue-toned glitter glaze adds more splendor to the overall blending of glaze colors.
