都市中的開放空間，對於城市緊湊的排序有著許多益處。特別是在住商混和的城市空間裡，開放空間的定位與機能更能有效的輔助城市發展。 因都市活動大多較為具有目的性，這樣的空間活動關係使得大多空間皆較為緊密。也就在這樣的空間狀態之下，開放空間便彰顯其價直。好的開放空間能有效輔助周邊機能的發揮，使其達到更好的效果。 而不平衡的區域發展，間接導致了空間使用上的失衡，在這樣的狀態之下，即便空間較大，仍因為缺乏活動與配套，導致人流難以疏通。也就形成了空間的過度壓縮與浪費。 草悟道，當代台中最為高度發展的商業活動帶。怎麼能藉由都市綠帶的整合改造，襯托都市空間發展，達到發展與使用均衡兩面向的助益？
Because of the tight arrangement in the city, the public space usually play an important role on positive way. Especially in the area which is mixed with business and living, different kind of public space can help urban development effectively.
Due to the activities in the city usually on purpose, most space are highly related. In this kind of situation, public space shows their value in help whole area more comfortable, loose the whole area's arrangement.
However, the Imbalance regional development, cause space using imbalance indirectly, in this kind of situation, even though the space is larger, still lead to flow hard to been dredged because of lack the activities and function, which also means the space comes to over -compression and wasted.
