The Passing of Time

Cultural Heritage Preservers

This work symbolizes the fleeting passage of time and urges viewers to seize the moment. The phrase "The Passing of Time" comes from The Analects of Confucius (Chapter: Zi Han), where it is written: "The Master stood by the river, and he said, 'How it flows on, never ceasing, day and night!'" It reflects the swift and relentless flow of life, much like the continuous current of a river. The piece as a whole is harmonious and natural, with a spatial design that evokes the beauty of traditional Chinese landscape painting. The sculpted mountains in the background are grand and imposing, resembling mist-covered peaks. In the contrast between stillness and motion, time slips by, as the title was named, The Passing of Time.
