王秋華的建築設計反映現代主義風格，同時著重環境整體性及比例。其中，圖書館建築是她最鍾愛且擅長的設計類型，為台灣的圖書館帶來公共性與社會性的展現，王秋華也因此被稱為「台灣圖書館之母」。
Chiu-Hwa Wang's architectural designs reflect the modernist style while emphasizing the integrity and proportion of the environment. Among them, library architecture is her favorite and most proficient type of design, bringing a public and social dimension to libraries in Taiwan. Chiu-Hwa Wang is therefore known as the "Mother of Taiwan Libraries".

王秋華 Chiu-Hwa Wang

基泰工程司為關頌聲於1920年在天津創辦的建築事務所，也是近代中國人自己創辦最大的事務所，主要合夥人包括關頌聲、朱彬、楊廷寶、楊寬麟四人。在1949年後，中國的基泰工程司解散，其後分別由朱彬、關頌聲各自前往香港與台灣，繼續開辦基泰工程司。
Kwan, Chu and Yang Architects was an architectural firm founded in Tianjin in 1920 by Chung-Sing Kwan. It was the largest firm founded by Chinese people in modern times, with its main partners being Chung-Sing Kwan, Zhu Bin, Ting-Bao Yang, and  Kuan-Lin Yang. After 1949, JKwan, Chu and Yang Architects in China was dissolved, and Zhu Bin and Chung-sing Kwan subsequently went to Hong Kong and Taiwan respectively to continue operating Kwan, Chu and Yang Architects .

漢寶德建築師。不僅在業界與有指標性地位，更是將其工作影響延伸至藝術文化、博物館學界，其工作範疇非常廣泛。在1990年代開始談及「大乘建築」的觀點，是大乘佛教對的大眾性領悟，幾乎可以算是他對於建築的正式宣言。

Pao-Teh Han, an architect, not only holds a leading position in the industry but also extends his influence to the fields of art, culture, and museum studies, making his work extremely broad. His concept of "Mahayana architecture," which he began discussing in the 1990s, represents Mahayana Buddhism's understanding of the general public and can almost be considered his formal declaration on architecture.

漢寶德Pao-Teh Han

台灣建築巨擘李祖原以設計台北 101 大樓而聞名，自 2004 年至 2010 年間，台北 101 都是世界最高的摩天大樓，亦是世界上技術最先進的建築之一。除此之外，高雄 85 大樓也是李祖原的代表作，該大樓為 1997 年至 2004 年間，台灣最高的建築。
Taiwanese architectural giant Chu-Yuan Lee is best known for designing Taipei 101, which was the world's tallest skyscraper from 2004 to 2010 and is also one of the world's most technologically advanced buildings. In addition, Kaohsiung Sky Tower is another of Lee's representative works; it was the tallest building in Taiwan from 1997 to 2004.

李祖原Chu-Yuan Lee

中央研究院成立於1928年，為我國國家級研究機關。法定任務為執行「人文及科學研究」、「指導、聯絡及獎勵學術研究」以及「培養高級學術研究人才」。

本院分為數理科學、生命科學、人文及社會科學三大學組，共有33個研究所及研究中心，執行基礎及任務導向型研究。包含超過八千名研究人員、研究技術人員、助理、及行政人員，是國際間少見兼顧自然科學及人文與社會科學均衡發展的研究型機構。

為落實執行本院三大法定任務，並以研究帶動社會進步為己任，本院確立院務發展的三項目標，即「成就全球頂尖研究」、「善盡社會關鍵責任」及「延攬培育卓越人才」。
Founded in 1928, Academia Sinica has earned a reputation for being Taiwan’s national academic institution. Our statutory mission is to pursue research excellence, nurture academic talent, and issue policy advisories.

Academia Sinica currently has 24 institutes and 9 research centers located in three research sections: the Mathematics and Physical Sciences Division, Life Sciences Division, and Division of Humanities and Social Sciences. There are currently over 8,000 research fellows, research technicians, assistants, and administrative staff, making it a rare research institution internationally that achieves a balanced development in both natural sciences and humanities and social sciences.

70年前，中央研究院在台復院，於四分溪畔逐步建立屬於臺灣的學術傳承。研究員以成果書寫時代進程，建築師與規劃者則以空間留下印記，並在中西文化交會中，探索建築之道與思想的安身之所，放眼未來。

空間的書寫不僅映照學術的發展，也回應人們對美好環境的渴望。本次展覽正是中央研究院在展望未來之前，對過往歷程的回顧與前瞻。

展覽分為兩部分：第一展區聚焦南港院區早期經典建築，透過戰後重要建築師的作品，以及接續的建築世代如何與之對話，呈現建築如何在環境中建立秩序，並形塑院區的空間調性與精神；第二展區則展示南港院區、國家生技研究園區與南部院區的發展現況與未來規劃，體現當代對宜人友善環境的追求。

Inheriting Thoughts Across Time, Exploring Horizons of Innovation.
Seventy years ago, Academia Sinica resumed operations in Taiwan, gradually establishing a distinct academic heritage along the Sifen River. Researchers documented the era’s progress, while architects and planners articulated their vision through architecture and the master plan.

The progress of space not only reflects the development of research but also responds to humanity’s desire for a better environment.


The exhibition is divided into two sections:
Exhibition 1 focuses on the early iconic buildings of the Nangang Campus, highlighting the works of postwar architects and how subsequent generations engaged with them, showing how architecture establishes order and shapes the campus’s spatial character and spirit.
Exhibition 2 presents the current development and future plans of the Nangang Campus, the National Biotechnology Research Park, and the South Campus, reflecting contemporary efforts to create a pleasant and human-friendly environment.

溯源前行 - 中央研究院建築與環境空間展From Reflection to Direction: Architecture and Campus Environment of Academia Sinica

空間創造與行動的目的，是為了創造連結
空間的精神與魅力，來自於在此累積的記憶，以及良好環境所孕育的質感。
好的環境品質，不僅滿足需求，更能促進人與人、人與自然、院區與社會之間的連結，讓空間成為承載行動、激發創造的場域。
專注研究的日與夜、交流互動的啟發、親近自然的舒暢、分享成果的喜悅，以及走出院區、與社會對話的企圖——這些生活片段連結了時間與空間，創造多元而豐厚的文化傳統，並塑造院區獨一無二的場所精神與魅力。

近年來，中央研究院在生物醫學、基礎生物學、基礎物理學、結構生物學、天文物理學、資訊科學，和史學、漢學、社會科學等領域取得豐碩的成果；並大量投入社會關鍵議題研究，如淨零創新科技、量子科技及mRNA技術平台建置等，在特別需要有基礎研究作為根基的議題上，以科學研究的角度貢獻社會。
