台灣鐵道系統一直扮演著推動台灣經濟發展的關鍵角色。隨著時光的推移，產業鐵道網絡不斷擴展，提升各類物資的運輸效能，更加速台灣產業轉型與現代化。「臺車九號」並非一輛真實存在的列車，而是乘載著過去台灣產業鐵道歷史與故事的媒介。我們藉由創新設計介紹代表性地區的產業特色和珍貴故事，推廣豐富的台灣鐵道文化並帶領大眾探索台灣產業與鐵道的羈絆，見證屬於1930年台灣的輝煌年代。
我們透過考察數個與糖業、林業、煤礦業、觀光業等產業有關的鐵路與車站，實際接觸經歷過1930這個黃金年代的長者，發現有太多教科書上難以深入描寫的事跡，但這些正是台灣需要被了解、記住的地方。因此，我們搜集這些推動台灣經濟的小人物們的故事與現代科技結合，找出更為有趣的方式引導大眾重新認識台灣。我們也希望將認真生活、體驗周遭的態度傳遞給大眾，讓大家在各地旅行時能夠放慢腳步深入的體驗更深層的台灣產業風貌。

Taiwan's railway system has always played a crucial role in driving economic development. Over time, the industrial railway network has expanded persistently, not only improving the transportation efficiency of various goods but also accelerating Taiwanese industrial transformation and modernization. "TAIWAY NO.9" is not an actual train but rather a vessel carrying Taiwan's industry railway history and story. We introduce the distinctive industrial features and precious stories of representative regions with innovative design, promoting rich Taiwan's railway culture and leading the public to explore the bond between Taiwan's industries and railways, witnessing the glorious era that belongs to Taiwan.
We embarked on a journey, traversing railways and stations intertwined with industries such as sugar, forestry, coal mining, and tourism. Along the way, we had the privilege of meeting resilient elders who bore witness to the golden era of the 1930s. What we discovered transcended the confines of textbooks, revealing the rich tapestry of Taiwan's history that deserves to be cherished and understood. Thus, we endeavor to gather the narratives of these unsung heroes who fuel Taiwan's economy and combine them with contemporary technology to craft captivating avenues for the public to rediscover Taiwan anew. We also aspire to impart a profound appreciation for the essence of life and the beauty of our surroundings to all who encounter it.
