Drawing inspiration from traditional Taiwanese architecture, we integrate decorative elements with auspicious meanings, such as traditional window grilles, into the design of the old house. The aesthetic takes cues from the prevalent architectural structure of "斗拱" (dou-gong) commonly found in early houses. Combining the appearance of vintage furniture and the modern proportions of a tea table, we utilize Taiwan wood and employ a durable and eco-friendly mortise-and-tenon structure, eliminating the need for metal components to minimize waste and pollution.
We believe that furniture serves as a tangible connection to heritage, passing down family stories through time. The living room, centered around a tea table, is complemented by versatile low stools that can be adjusted according to sofa seating, creating a flexible and cozy atmosphere. The exterior is adorned with a harmonious play of deep and light colors, exemplifying the fusion of old and new. The design of the low stools, considering the adaptability for family gatherings, allows for easy movement and provides additional seating or space as needed. Our aim is to craft a nostalgic and distinctly Taiwanese living room furniture, carrying the emotional legacy and historical memories of families, while invoking wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity. This design not only offers practical functionality but also serves as a continuation of warmth and emotions within the home, bringing blessings and fulfillment for generations to come.
