寬鳳福疊椅 Butterfly

竹材 Bamboo W60×H80×D51 cm, Seat: H45 cm 生成式AI在現代已經成為創意概念成形的利器,在設計面提供了設計師源源不絕的抽象造形概念,在工藝面提供了工藝師腦中抽象概念的具體形象。生成式AI在設計與工藝的合作上,即是從形而上的抽象圖形到透過工藝技術所實現的形而下的具體實踐。蝴蝶在臺灣有諧音「福」的意思,在臺灣文化中「福」字帶有吉祥的寓意。家具座椅,有福在家中坐之寓意,透過蝴蝶的造形之設計,將「蝴蝶」的意象以不同加工技法的堆疊,把「福疊」的意義表現出來,讓產品更具故事性,且擁有臺灣特有的文化意涵。 Generative AI has become a powerful tool for shaping creative ideas in contemporary practice. In the realm of design, it provides designers with an endless stream of abstract forms; in the realm of craft, it transforms the abstract visions of artisans into tangible expressions. Through generative AI, the collaboration between design and craft bridges the abstract and the tangible—transforming conceptual forms into physical objects through the hands of skilled artisans. In Taiwanese culture, the butterfly (húdié) is a homophone for “blessing” (fú), symbolizing good fortune and auspiciousness. A chair, as an object for resting in the home, carries the connotation of “receiving blessings while seated.” This design draws inspiration from the butterfly form, using layered fabrication techniques to articulate the concept of “stacked blessings” (fúdié). Through the integration of symbolic shape, story, and craftsmanship, the piece becomes more than a functional object—it carries a uniquely Taiwanese cultural meaning.
