Hiding His Light - The Itinerant Monk Who Lived Like Cloud and Water

It was during the period of martial law when the Venerable Master arrived in Taiwan. The society was in dire need of a sense of stability and reassurance. Seeing the lack of correct understanding for Buddhism in Taiwan, the Venerable Master was determined to bring Buddhism to the people. Recognizing that the power of words is very important, he accepted invitations from Human Life Magazine and Awakening the World Periodical, among other publishers, to be the editor and worked diligently to transform profound Buddhist sutra texts into accessible and easy-to-read passages for the general public. In his early years, he traveled back and forth between Yilan and Kaohsiung to propagate Dharma. His creative ways of Dharma propagation successfully enabled more and more people to become Buddhists. His frequent traveling between northern and southern Taiwan had enabled the concept of Humanistic Buddhism to gradually spread to these places.
