Beautiful Life Television (BLTV)
In line with Venerable Master Hung Yun's philosophy of spreading the good and
the beautiful, the Buddha's Light Television Station was established in 1998,
becoming the first TV station in Taiwan to combine religion, social education,
and entertainment. It was also the first station without commercials inbetween
programs. In 2002, the youthful, educational, international, and public television
station was renamed Beautiful Life Television (BLTV) in hopes of spreading the
spirit of Humanistic Buddhism to bring harmony and happiness society and
the world. The lotus petals on the BLTV logo extends out from the inside, symbolizing a global perspective and care for the whole world. The three petals also represent the vibrant, youthful and energetic educational philosophy of BLTV which is deeply concerned with the public's wellbeing and the quality of its
programs.
Merit Times Newspaper
“The world has Merit Times. May Merit Times fill the world!”
After a half-century-long wish, and 50 years of waiting, “the Merit Times” was officially launched on April 1", 2000 as a clean newspaper suitable for the entire family. The American version of “Merit Times” was also launched in July of the same year. This is an optimistic, ethical, and heartwarming newspaper; its articles emphasize the purification of society, the brave and benevolent life, bridges between compassionate minds, and cause and effect. It is a blessing filled with culture, art, education, and new knowledge.

In 2006, “Merit Times” began planning its electronic newspaper, which was later
launched in September 2007.
Debut Issue of “Merit Times Daily News”
The “Merit Times” was first Issued by Venerable Master Hsing Yun on April 1, 2000 in Taiwan as a daily “Chinese newspaper”. It is the first newspaper in the Buddhist community and has been reporting for more than ten years now.
