Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA)
In 1991, Venerable Master Hsing Yun founded the Buddha’s Light International Association, and introduced a Buddha’s Light Friend’s Association. Anyone who identifies with the BLIA’s objectives, regardless of region, nationality or religious belief, is welcome to join. Venerable Master traveled westwards and disseminated the Dharma in Africa, Australia, Asia, South America, and Europe. He also obliged the local devotees’ request and established branch temples and BLIA chapters worldwide. All of these are because of one vow: “May my yesterdays be used to make up for every today; may every past moment lost be
made up with every present moment.” There is only one ideal: May the Buddha's Light shine universally across the world, and the Dharma stream flow across all five continents.
