Nature Rebuild Project

Chiu,Chia-Yu, Yang,Min-Hsin, Huang,Yu-Xun, Hou,Ching

設計者/侯靖 - The papermulberry plays a crucial place and have a variety usage in the Austronesian language culture. Gou sheng is deconstructed from the concept of "#nature rebuild" by using the ancient technique from old mulberry bark and combining metal jewelries to design the images of mountains, ocean, forests and fields. Gou Sheng gives the traditional craft a fashionable and regenerative meaning and a new value. Series of works: “Lutuk” is named after the Austronesian language word “mountain.” The overall design extends from the main peak of the shoulders to the flat ground of the chest, associating with the human body to present the high and low mountains. Designer / Yang,Min-Hsin / Named after “Lyial”, the “ocean” in Austronesian, the headwear and necklace are made of crossed dyed bark and torn bark fibers. Set on the metal frame in shape of waves, the headwear and necklace could therefore present the image of ocean and white water. Designer : Chiu,Chia-Yu / “Kilakilangan” is named after the Austronesian language word “forest’’.The bark is sewn into a leaf shape by using the folding method, and the trunks on the chest extend to the branches on the top of the head. This design shows a vibrant image of forest. Designer/Huang,Yu-xun / It is named after “enar”, which means “plain” in Austronesian. Tree bark pieces framed by metal blocks resemble plains landscape, and the difference of block levels shows the beauty of changeable nature. Designer : Hou,Ching
