The importance between culture to the nourishing land is alike soul to the body. Once losing the soul, this is an empty body. In this island where I grew up, this land has been erosion by the western waves from lifestyle to education systems. In my childhood, the fantasy and amusements of ‘Disneyland’ companied me. Thus, my world becomes a representation of a multicultural complex. But I firmly believe that integrating the essence of Eastern culture into contemporary metalworking creations is the key to giving new life to traditional metal craftsmanship. Through the transformation and continuous innovation of tradition, we can continue the spirit of tradition. We can commit to integrating the essence of our own culture into modern creation, exploring the historical origins of metal craft culture, and the relevance and difference of contemporary metal art creation.
