近年來，傳統中醫因許多主觀因素與刻板印象，導致看診人數愈趨減少。脈波響應是個創新又有趣的「體驗式傳達設計」，將傳統中醫的脈診透過創意與科技轉換為數位音樂，以全新的視覺與聽覺體驗，改變人們對中醫的刻板印象。
我們在查閱脈象的相關資料並諮詢中醫師之後，將中醫古籍中記載的脈象和圖案，整合人體28種常見脈像進行視覺符號設計，並透過旋律來詮釋28種脈象的含義和觸覺感受。以數位技術體驗，帶著觀眾在展場之中了解把脈技術、親身感受脈搏，並使用軟體將其轉化為代表身體狀態的旋律；同時也能藉由手機掃描來聆聽各脈象的代表音樂。
希望由音樂的刺激產生有別於以往的認知與感受連結，並透過本次專題與社會大眾重新溝通，促進整體社會更好的健康和環境。

Traditional Chinese medicine's popularity has declined in recent years due to subjective factors and stereotypes. Pulse Response is an innovative "experiential communication design" that turns pulse diagnosis into digital music using creativity and technology, challenging the public's assumptions about Chinese medicine.
After consulting with practitioners and researching pulse information, we designed symbols for 28 common pulse patterns by integrating ancient Chinese texts. Each pulse pattern's meaning and tactile sensations were then reinterpreted using melodies. Visitors can experience pulse diagnosis in person, feel their pulse, and use software to create a melody representing their body's state. They can also listen to representative music for each pulse pattern by scanning their phones.
Through this project, we aim to use music to create new perceptions and promote better health and environment for society.
