文字是文化的載體，漢字中出現一種特殊的型態稱作「疊體字」，指相同字符重疊所形成的文字。以「木」字為例，可以疊出二疊字「林」、三疊字「森」、四疊字「𣛧」。於是，我們以圖像式符號建構文字。疊體字在表達文字的「累加」與「大量」之意。疊疊字將失傳的疊體字集結成冊，重新演繹疊體字的文化脈絡。
此設計囊括疊體字的形音義，蒐集《說文解字》等歷史古籍節錄之疊體字。目前尚有失傳的疊體字字型，透過設計的角度，將目前未能輸入的字型重新建構，未來可運用「疊疊字」此作品，供想了解疊體字文化的觀者使用，並理解古人的造字心理。
疊體字的具體形象，將其分門別類為五行、人類、動物、自然、器物，並針對「獨體字」建構出二疊字、三疊字、四疊字的疊體字造形。共計49組，總共152字。

Stack Glyphs - Exploring the Cultural Context of Stacked Glyphs
Characters are the carrier of culture. In Chinese culture, a special type of character called "stacked character" refers to the character formed by overlapped glyphs. For example, with the character "木" means "Wood", two-stacked characters "林" means "Forest", three-stacked characters "森" means "Dense forest", and four-stacked characters "𣛧" means "Thick forest".So that we constructed the characters using graphical symbols. Stacked character can be constructed to express the meaning of "accumulation" and "mass" of the word. "Stack Glyphs" collected these lost Chinese characters and reinterpreted the cultural context of stacked glyphs.
"Stacked Glyphs" include the form, sound, and meaning of stacked glyphs, and collect excerpts of stacked characters from the "Analytical Dictionary of Chinese Characters" (Shuowen Jiezi) and other historical books. Because there are still some lost stacked characters in fonts, we reconstructed these characters through the design perspective. For those who are interested in superimposed character culture, "Stacked Glyphs" provides a reference that helps reader to understand the concept of creating a word.
The specifics of "Stack Glyphs" are categorized into these different types: Five elements, People, Animal, Nature, and Implements. Thus, we also constructed the forms of two-stacked, three-stacked, and four-stacked characters in the type of "Unique Glyphs".Contains 49 groups and 152 glyphs in total.
