The symbols of the development and progress of modern cities are often accompanied by words such as convenience, good management and modularity, which often accidentally erase the self-evidence and organic development of the city.
In the 1960s and 1970s, when Taiwan’s red bricks were in high demand, the Guishan area of Linkou was once full of brick kiln factories, which bore the livelihoods of countless families and even brought a large number of immigrants. Later, with the transformation of building
materials, the flourishing ceramic industry gradually declined into history. As a result, the Concord Brick Kiln Factory in the base was abandoned.
These remnants of the past are like "traces of life." Although they can't help us go back to the past, they can take us back to the source and look forward to the future. The base is located on the road and green space next to the airport MRT station A7. Therefore, the road has been re-planned to add parks and green space to the nearby residents and give it the function of a miniature museum.
