孤獨的心跳

「一場掙扎的描述」展名來自法蘭茲．卡夫卡（Franz Kafka）的同名短篇小說，內容荒謬、曲折，給人感覺撲朔迷離，儼然是一場自我對話。
    「掙扎」指的是費盡全力勉強支撐或抵抗，也有非常猶豫、難以決定的意思。大學期間，我們接觸到多樣的藝術面貌，日日與色彩、筆觸、空間、草圖、形式、題材搏鬥，沿途跌撞地過了四年。然而，藝術究竟是什麼？我們在創作中追求的是什麼？關於藝術與未來的種種問題，終究得回歸自己，在叩問的過程中，將各種矛盾與質疑以創作來回應。
    時光將我們推往生命下一個轉角，畢業展就是這四年來創作和自我詰問的階段性展現。每一位展出者的作品互異，背後的創作過程都隱藏著每個人無數次與自我對話、不為人知的掙扎。面對自身能力的不滿足、懷疑，與對未來的不確定感，我們試圖透過創作與表現，在各自的混沌狀態中尋找一份安適。
    當我們覺察到理想的生命藍圖漸漸被現實覆蓋，那些輕狂的表述、略帶憂鬱的喃喃，所謂的掙扎與糾結，或許也只是掩飾脆弱的偽裝。我們真的能改變或掌握什麼嗎？我們將帶著困惑，繼續在藝術這條修行路上走下去。

       Our title came from one of Franz Kafka’s short stories with an absurd, complicated and labyrinthine content which is almost equivalent to a self dialogue.
“Struggle” implies an all-out effort to support or resist, and involves some hesitating and hard decision as well. During our university days, we contacted with various arts and stumbled along the way in our constant battle with color, brush strokes, space, sketches, forms and subjects. However, what is the essence of art and the pursued goal for our creation?  Various problems relating to future art should be solved by ourselves. We could only respond all such arising paradox and doubt with our own creative works during their interrogative process.
As time pushes us to our next life corner, this graduation exhibition reflects our four-year interim and progressive achievements by our own critical creation. Every participant demonstrates different
 work features with specific constant self argument and hidden strivings. Despite dissatisfaction with the incompetence or lack of confidence owing to future uncertainties, we still try hard to win our suitable worth out of individual chaotic conditions. Could we really innovate or fully grasp our situation while our map of ideal life being covered by social rigidity and our wild narration and melancholic murmurings but our disguised weakness facing all kind of entanglement ? Therefore, we continue to step forward with courage like spiritual practitioners notwithstanding all interfering puzzlement.
