以精湛高超的技藝，繪畫一對原野草地鵪鶉，正在昂首凝視傾聽，鵪鶉的羽毛、眼睛、腳趾，神態生動；菅草、紅葉點綴左下方，細細的金箔，舖平如沙。鵪鶉之右上，以螺甸鑲嵌技法，裝飾一彎弦月也似的瑩光。
Using superb skills to depict a pair of field meadow quail. The gesture how they are standing still and listening. The feather, eyes, toes of quails are vivid. Decorated with Silver-Grass and red leaves on the lower left, and thin gold foil is spread as flat as sand. The upper right side of the quail is decorated with a gleaming light that resembles a crescent moon, using the mother-of-pearl mosaic technique.
