Living with Bamboo, Living with Meaning
In a fast-paced consumer world, “Living with Bamboo, Living with Meaning” offers a return to slower rhythms—an exploration of craft, culture, and sustainability. Rooted in the spirit of “SLOHAS,” the exhibition embraces smart simplicity: wisdom found in slowness, and clarity found in restraint. It reimagines bamboo’s role in contemporary design and its future potential.
Bamboo is not just a material, but a vessel of values. This exhibition brings together Taiwanese bamboo brands, lighting manufacturers, and designers from Taiwan and Japan. Featuring household items, headwear, and lighting, the works reveal bamboo’s resilience, adaptability, and elegance through mixed media, structural innovation, and material transformation.
As the world moves toward a circular economy, “design as transformation” becomes a key belief. Through creative perspectives and local collaboration, the exhibition breathes new life into bamboo—creating products that are both practical and culturally rich, while helping to build a sustainable ecosystem for Taiwan’s bamboo craft industry.
“Living with Bamboo, Living with Meaning” is more than a lifestyle—it is a thoughtful inquiry into the relationship between materials, design, and humanity.
