Where was the Songshan Tobacco Factory?

What is now the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park originally opened in 1939 as the Songshan Tobacco Factory of the Taiwan Governor-General Monopoly Bureau. It became the second tobacco factory built in Taipei, following the Taipei Tobacco Factory, and was constructed by the Governor-General's office to meet the growing demand for tobacco products. Songshan Tobacco Factory was located in the Xingya area of Songshan District in Taipei Prefecture. The Governor-General of Taiwan strategically chose the site due to its proximity to water sources, railways, and roads, all of which are essential factors for factory operations and transport. During the same period, a large railway facility, the Taipei Railway Workshop, was built in this area (relocated to Songshan District in 1934). The open area shown in the upper left corner of this photograph is the planned site for the Songshan Tobacco Factory.
