The Venerable Master That I Know Of
The Academia Historica of Taiwan has published Venerable Master's narrative books: “Buddhist Affinities Across One Hundred Years”, but no disciples of his dared to write the foreword. The fact is, Venerable Master hardly ever had anyone write a foreword for any of his publications, so I suddenly had an idea, that is, to let his disciples write about the Master that they know of, because the magnificent beliefs, achievements, or quality displayed by the Venerable Master are not something which his disciples are in the place to explain. Nevertheless, his conducts, ideas and even daily life matters, which have been influential to his disciples, are something which we take delight in talking about. Thus, I have asked everyone to write one to two hundred words about their impressions of
Venerable Master, which are compiled into this paper, “The Master That I
Know Of” and will be placed as the foreword for “Buddhist Affinities Across
One Hundred Years”.
