隨著臺灣國內消費者對於茶飲的需求日漸增大，手搖飲市場也明顯不斷增加，根據茶飲工廠估算，一天能產生約180噸的茶渣，一般處理方式為焚化、堆肥、熱解、固化，其中不免俗有設備成本高、效益過低、腐蝕臭味、空汙問題..等等，透過改變處理方式來重新賦予茶渣價值，並利用椅子這個每天都會使用的物件，重新帶回人的視野之中。
