With exquisite composition and masterful carving, this piece depicts the lotus springs from mud, yet remains pure and unstained; it bathes in clear water without appearing alluring. The partially unfurled lotus leaves and upright budding flower exude an air of serenity, while a dragonfly rests delicately above. Paired with a withered branch emerging from the water, the scene evokes refined elegance and subtly symbolizes integrity.
