Texformation

The 2021 graduate exhibition of the Department of Arts and Design, Design workshop at National Tsing Hua University is called Texformation. Our department focuses on artistic perceptions, texture usage, and design abilities, it is our goal to apply craft as a catalyst to enable these three main aspects to mutually react with one another. As for the design and making process, we attempt to apply and integrate various types of “texture” and “form” in craft and infuse the two into our design objects. The name Texformation combines the words “texture” and “form,” which are the essence for our created work, this includes materiality, unique traits, shaping, and configuration. In this exhibition, you will be able to see how the students’ work comes to life through the unique process of Texformation.

Exposant
