KINNIK肌肉少化症輔助器材之設計 - KINNIK Design of Assistive Devices for Sarcopenia

LIN,HAN-WEI, XIE,YONG-ZHU, KUO.CHIAO-WEN

Muscle mass tends to decline with age, which in some severe cases may lead to sarcopenia, causing inconvenience in daily life or an increased risk of falling, and leads to mortality. To mitigate sarcopenia, resistance exercise is the only effective approach to increase muscle mass. Progressive resistance exercise is relatively easier for the elderly to handle in terms of intensity. Therefore, we will focus on resistance exercise and, through the gamification approach, encourage users to unconsciously extend the duration of muscle training. This aims to help individuals aged 65 and above or those with sarcopenia to maintain or improve muscle strength and mass.
