在排灣族的傳說中，太陽孕育了生命的起源。故事講述了在某個狂風暴雨的日子裡，太陽生下兩顆蛋安放於陶壺中，並由百步蛇守護。這兩顆蛋最終孵化出一男一女，成為排灣族的祖先。這段傳說不僅揭示了排灣族與自然界的深厚聯繫，也象徵著太陽與生命的誕生。
本設計概念正是從這段傳說中汲取靈感，透過象徵性元素呈現出生命的誕生與守護的力量。設計中融入了太陽、蛋、陶壺與百步蛇等重要符號，傳遞著排灣族對自然的尊重與對祖先的崇敬。每一個細節都試圖捕捉這段神話故事中的神聖與力量，並將其轉化為現代設計語彙，以表達族群對文化根源的延續與對未來的希望。
In the legend story of Paiwan, sun gave birth to the origin of life. It was a day rained cats and dogs that the sun laid two eggs and placed them in clay pots, guarded by Hundred Pace of Snakes. These two eggs eventually became a man and a woman and were the ancestor of Paiwan. This legend not only reveals the deep connection between Paiwan and natural, also symbolizes the birth of sun and life.
The design concept of this artwork is gained from this legend, using the symbolic elements to show the birth and protection power of life. This design involves sun, eggs, clay pots and Hundred Pace of Snakes which are all important symbols. It conveys the Paiwan people’s respect for nature and reverence for their ancestors. All details are capturing the sacred and the power in mythical stories, transformed them into modern design vocabulary, to express the ethnic group’s continuation of cultural roots and hope for the future.
