粘碧華老師一方面專研傳統中西刺繡的各種針法技術，一方面勇於突破傳統刺繡的構圖或組成方式，融合各種繪畫、拼貼、編織技術，將刺繡帶入藝術的表現範疇。新材料的使用，包括以電子零件及銅線點綴局部畫面、以喻臺灣科技產業成為創造財富的新貴。
