Father and Son Stone Craving Art Boutique|Father and Son Stone Craving Art Tea Tray

basalt, lacquer / 50x30x4 cm Introduction The Father and Son Stone Carving Workshop in Nantou thought outside the box and used stone carvings to express the style of gentlemen. The bamboo is hollow because of its knots, which represents integrity, humility, and exaltation. It is placed upon the tea table through the presentation of stone carving, which is interesting. Hard basalt is used as material to carve out soft lines and shapes with different techniques. In addition to having a three-dimensional effect, both rough and delicate characteristics of the stone are used to combine with the skillful carving process of imitating bamboo knots. Presenting a visual effect of hardness and softness which gives rich vitality to the silent stone.
