The core of the design philosophy lies in the translation of materials and the reinterpretation of classics. By using discarded yarn in lieu of the fluidity of traditional oil paints, the work reinterprets Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring , in an attempt to build a bridge across time and space between sustainable thinking and masterpieces in art history.
