Material: C-Slurry, bamboo biochar
Size: (L) Dia. 113× H115cm; (S) Dia. 57× H95cm
This biomimetic floral sculpture, constructed by 3D printing using bamboo charcoal C-Slurry, is shaped thanks to the inspiration from the imagery of life of bamboo roots spreading and blossoming across the island. The work symbolizes a green circular network that radiates outward from the heart of Taiwan, conveying the potential for the bamboo industry to flourish based on sustainability and regeneration. More than just a “flower” in form, Bambloom is a poetic expression of material rebirth, transforming local leftover materials into a symbolic landscape in public spaces that is rich in vitality and circular awareness. By combining digital fabrication and the language of nature, this work tells the story of Taiwan “blooming from the roots”.
