山田倡議 - Rice Terraces Initiative

「水梯田」保育與近年國際討論農業生物多樣性保育密切相關,是當前全球受關注的議題,其目的藉由復育土地來達到生物多樣性,確保人、環境和生物之間的平衡關係。臺灣水梯田最具代表的地方就是臺灣北部石門嵩山百年梯田、東北部貢寮梯田以及東部花蓮豐濱鄉石梯坪梯田,這些地方目前也保有生態完整系統以及其獨特的地理環境因素,並且持續生態米的生產,然而都市化發展及人為經濟效應,這些生態農業地景與農作生態高度受到了影響,因此希望藉由生態米品牌重新推廣,向社會大眾宣導水梯田面臨的環境與生態危機。整體設計以水梯田最具特色的三大田地為圖像創作依據,品牌與包裝形象也導入生態訊息,運用梯田結合在地文化,傳達原鄉品牌概念,透過品牌重塑,可建立大眾對永續農業這個議題的認識。 - Rice terrace conservation is a popular global topic closely connected to global discussion on agricultural biodiversity conservation in recent years. It aims to achieve biodiversity through land restoration while ensuring a balanced relationship among the people, environment, and living beings. The most representative rice terraces in Taiwan are the Shimen Songshan Terrace in northern Taiwan, Gongliao Terrace in northeastern Taiwan, and Hualien’s Fengbin Shitiping Terrace in the east. Currently, these areas feature well-preserved ecosystems with unique geographic environments as they continue to produce eco-rice. However, these agroecological landscapes and agricultural ecosystems are not immune to the influences of urban development and economic activities. Hence, the re-promotion of eco-rice brands aims to introduce environmental and ecological challenges facing rice terraces. With an overall graphic design based on three of the most distinguishing rice terraces, the brand and package image also contain ecological messages to promote hometown brands by integrating rice terraces with local culture. This rebranding can raise public awareness about the issue of sustainable agriculture.
