The Music of Our Dreams is a multimedia performance based on a contemporary myth recounting the genesis of daydreaming as a collective architectural practice. Premiered on March 20th in C3 Milan, Italy.
Sonic realms are generating an immersive site for reveries, a pavilion of dreams, echoing an ever-changing landscape informed by The Oracle of Delphi. Conceived as an opera in 4 acts, the piece is created by a narrator, four musicians, and two performers. The Music of Our Dreams is carved through a surrounding sound system, movement, spatial interventions, and a video installation. Supported by a website and book.
The project is part of the MFA thesis project of Can Aksan within the AA School of Architecture, AA Interdisciplinary Studio, Spatial Design, and Performance program.
