糊紙 Paper Pasting Craft

我參與Yii+計畫，希望這一次的作品能夠在日常生活中有一點儀式性，並探討信仰情愫，它是人性精神跟神性精神之間的溝通對話，而人們對物件的寄情作用目的是安定心神。透過物質、寄情跟緬懷，去連結我們人性跟神性的生活。藉由超現實巴洛克的設計概念，創造一個西方文明可以理解而且可以使用的物品，並透過華人文明的民俗工藝「紙糊文化」來橋接，為紙糊文化加入一些愉悅的信仰情愫。
Through my participation in the "Yii+" project, I hope to bring a sense of ritual into everyday life. This series explores the emotional dimension of faith as a form of communication between the human spirit and the divine. Our emotional attachment to objects often serves to soothe the mind—transforming material things into anchors of memory, longing, and meaning.
By weaving together matter, remembrance, and emotion, I seek to reconnect the human and the sacred within contemporary life. Drawing on a surreal Baroque design vocabulary, the work reimagines traditional forms into objects that are legible and usable within a Western cultural framework. At the same time, it is deeply rooted in Chinese folk craft—specifically the paper mâché traditions of "zhǐhū culture." Through this fusion, I hope to infuse paper mâché with renewed spiritual warmth, offering a gentle and joyful reinterpretation of belief.
