Kidney Elegance 是一款居家洗腎推車。根據研究，台灣洗腎人口數量達9萬4000人，是世界之最。因covid19的疫情爆發，來往醫院染疫風險增加，也促使居家洗腎成為新趨勢。
居家洗腎會透過腹膜透析的方式，通常利用每日睡覺時間約8小時進行治療，起床後即可恢復正常生活。而其最大的優點就是在家中就可以完成治療。
然而，透過訪談我們發現居家洗腎仍存在諸多不便，例如: 機器運作需要插電導致患者在家中移動不便、傳統醫療器材會帶給人們冰冷的感覺且無法融入居家空間、透析液堆疊使環境凌亂以及醫療必需品等收納需求。
因此我們將以上需求整合並設計了此推車。
1.具有伸縮的拉桿，可以吊掛透析液、治療時最多可吊掛三包。
2.木質滑門上蓋，可將機器放置於內部，使用時拉開滑門即可使用，使用完畢將滑門蓋上，可3.木質抽屜可放置醫療必需品，像是酒精、棉片等等必需品。下方的水箱，可收集患者治療後的廢水。
4.自由模組空間，運用兩張椅子做出空間的區隔，可放置行動電池與垃圾桶等物品，自行做空間配置。
為顛覆傳統醫療器材的冰冷感，我們的設計整體運用大量的木頭材質，希望給予
患者一個溫暖舒適的體驗，推車放在家中也顯得格外典雅。

According to research, there are 94,000 patients suffering from kidney disease in Taiwan.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, going to hospital may increase the risk of infection, which has made peritoneal dialysis a new trend. Different from Hemodialysis, Patients getting peritoneal dialysis(PD) can receive treatment during their 8 to10 hours of sleep each day, and resume their normal lives after waking up. And most importantly, all these can be done at home.
However, after having the interview with Patients(receiving PD),we found out there are still several inconveniences of pd, such as the machine requiring power supply when it is operating that causes patients immobility during treatment. The cold feeling of traditional medical equipment doesn’t fit in home space. The stacking dialysate on the machine doesn't look good. And other needs like the medical supplies storage.
To solve these issues, we have designed this trolley that integrates all patient needs.
Firstly, our trolley features an extendable handle that can hold up to three bags of dialysate during treatment.
Secondly, we have a wooden sliding door, the machine can be placed inside.
After use, close the door to prevent dust from falling ,and also maintain an elegant appearance.
Thirdly, a wooden drawer on the left side that can put medical necessities such as alcohol and cotton pads.A transparent water tank at the bottom collects waste water after dialysis.
Finally, a free module space can be customized.We can place items such as mobile batteries and trash cans.
