The Festival builds a public-facing gateway to organ culture by linking historic churches, major performance venues, and online platforms, so the organ can be seen, heard, and passed on. In 2023 the Festival focused on discovering Taiwan’s organ heritage, pairing sound with architecture and local stories. In 2024 it expanded international exchange and community outreach while advancing technology-driven presentations; the flagship cross-disciplinary production Inspiring Formosa: From Mirage to Mirror – Organ Concert of Hsiao-Yi Yu premiered with generative visuals and extended-reality design integrated into organ performance to create an accessible, immersive experience. In 2025, under the theme “Echoes of Europe,” the Festival continued a dialogue with European traditions while foregrounding Taiwanese voices through family programs, new commissions, and ongoing work in digital modeling and online exhibitions that document instruments and spaces for long-term learning and preservation. Looking ahead, the Festival will keep developing a reusable library that unites repertoire, technology, and platform—annotated scores and registrations, three-dimensional and audio-visual assets, and educator resources. With live stages and online galleries running in parallel, the Formosa International Organ Festival aims to amplify Taiwan’s organ culture: locally rooted, globally connected, and ready for the next generation.
