The savings account book is an object authenticating the promise between the bank and the depositor. First launched with the founding of the Savings Bank of Taiwan in 1899 to encourage thrift and savings, the bank book has also served as a record of the history, changes of environment, and the cash flow of each depositor for over a century. Here we present a diverse collection of bank books on the wall, a magnificent installation of “money wall” based on the idea of “creating wealth for the people”. In October 1983, FCB launched its Cash Dispenser for money withdrawal and ATM card. In June 1995, FCB issued the first international VISA credit card and in March, 2015, FCB introduced the mobile credit card. In June, 2017, FCB launched a mobile payment service and in April, 2019, unveiled its iLEO account. These diverse “bank book” formats have been used to convert, transfer, and spend all kinds of currencies.
