An Gifted Neophyte: The Rise of Vincent Siew from Farming to Foreign Trade
"My story is simple … but I believe this simplicity gave me the inner strength necessary to persist and sustain momentum, to savor life's sweetness.” Vincent Siew describes his family and upbringing as quite ordinary. His father was a farmer and small business owner, while his mother ran household affairs and looked after the welfare of the family’s seven children. It was this environment that let Vincent Siew progress through kindergarten, elementary school, Chiayi High School, and National Chengchi University. He shares: “Family has always been my most important source of support.”
The struggles he faced and the choices he made through life helped make Vincent Siew who he is today. However, he also notes, “I never compromised on things I felt were important, and when I set a goal, I gave it my all.” Thus, it was his experience and his character that helped make Vincent Siew’s story unique.
